Caroling Christmas Party
It can be a lot of work and stress to host a full-blown Christmas bash. Cut down on the work and share some Christmas cheer by throwing a neighborhood caroling party.

The idea is progressive caroling through the neighborhood. Start with your family and invite each neighbor to join you as you carol door-to-door. Once you've assembled your choir, invite everyone back to your house for treats and cider.

This is a great way to get to know the people who live around you—especially if you've just moved—and encourage a feeling of community in your neighborhood this holiday season.

Be sure to let your neighbors know the plan before you show up at their doorstep! Get some cheap Christmas cards, make simple invitations, and walk them around your neighborhood door-to-door at least a week in advance. Put together a song sheet or get one from your church and make enough copies for everyone. Make some cider, hot cocoa, and goodies before you set out. Keep it informal, and be sure to warm up those vocal chords!
